Two man were killed and one was injured in a shooting that took place in the parking lot at a strip mall near the corner of Tompkins Avenue and Tenth Line Road at 9 p.m. Wednesday night.

The mall in question includes a Circle K convenience store, an M&M Food Market, an IDA Pharmacy and the African BBQ House restaurant. There's also a High Ties canabis store in the plaza which closes at 10 p.m.
One of the victims was killed at the scene the other succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to hospital. The third man was treated for non-threatening injuries and released.
In an interview with CBC Ottawa, the owner of the African BBQ House, Mussa Siddiqui, said he was walking out of the Circle K when he came face to face with a man who was approaching the store claiming he had been shot before dropping to the ground.
As two people tried to help the victim, including a nurse, Siddiqui ran to the other stores warning them that a shooting had taken place. It was then he noticed a car with the passenger door open and the wipers running.
"I noticed a gentleman sitting in the front driver's side with his head up," Siddiqui told the CBC, "and I figured at that point that he probably is dead."
The Ottawa Police Service has identified the deceased men as Krishel Kanin Murphy-Nimblett, 28, and Mohamed Omar Mohamed, 23, both of Ottawa. They have not yet classifed the incident as a targeted shooting and there is no information on a possible shooter.
