Second Orléans resident wins $100K in less than two weeks

Feb. 15, 2023

A second Orléans resident has won $100,000 in as many weeks playing the lottery. Michel Gauthier, 42, purchased an Intstant Ultimate ticket earlier this month from Moe's Convenience store on Cyrville Road across from the Home Depot.

"I had a good feeling about this ticket," Gautheir told the OLG officials when he picked up his winnings in Toronto on Monday.

He plans to use the money to invest in a new home.

Just last Tuesday, fellow Orléans resident Scott Ballam traveled to Toronto to pick up his winning cheque after checking the bar code on his Instant Gift Pack which he bought for himself at Christmas. He plans to use the money to take his children to Disney World, complete some home renovations and pay some bills.

Ballam purchased the Gift Pack at the Ultramar station at the corner of Innes and Trim Roads.
