Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Hôpital Montfort, have issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for interested parties to build and finance the Orléans Health Hub (previously known as Orléans Family Health Hub).

The Orléans Health Hub project involves the construction of an all-new centre at the corner of Mer-Bleue Road and Brian Coburn Boulevard. The Hub will bring together several health and community service partner organizations to respond to client needs within a comprehensive service delivery model of care.

Services to be provided will include: a needs-based ambulatory program; diagnostic imaging; a geriatric support and wellness; mental health and wellness; and active rehabilitation.

Once complete, residents of the greater Orléans area, from newborns to seniors, will have access to integrated programs close to home, focused on their needs and offered in both official languages.

The request for qualifications is the first step in the procurement process to select a company to build and finance the project. IO and Hôpital Montfort will evaluate submissions to prequalify companies with the construction experience and financial capacity to deliver a project of this scope and complexity. Companies that prequalify will be invited to respond to a request for proposals in summer 2018. Interested companies must register with merx.com to download the RFQ.

“This RFQ is the next step to delivering integrated patient-centered services closer to home,” says Ottawa-Orleans MPP Marie- France Lalonde. “Health and community service organizations with a wide range of healthcare services will be together under one roof to serve the needs of residents of greater Orléans. I am proud that our government is making this vital investment in our community.”

(This story was made possible thanks to the generous support of our local business partners.)
