Before Debbie Wilkes signed up for the latest Biggest Loser weight loss program at 180° Fitness, she was stuck in an unending cycle of dieting and diets that saw her loss weight and then gain it right back.

"I needed a kick in the pants to loss the weight and keep it off and the Biggest Loser program provided me with the kick in the pants I needed with a combination of exercise, nutrition and a proper mindset," says Wilkes, who ended up losing just over 50 lbs in 12 weeks. "I tell everyone that this is my own Freedom 55."

At 55 years of age, Wilkes has been on just about every diet imaginable. She even tried Weight Watchers with modest success, but the weight eventually came back.

"I would meet my objective and lose the weight, but then I would lose momentum and gain it back," says Wilkes, who had seen several posts about the Biggest Loser program through friends who had been through it.

"One of my Facebook friends had posted something and I guess it was just time. Something clicked and so I called up Adrian and I liked what I heard so I signed up."

The Biggest Loser program brings together 18-20 people who share the common goal of losing weight and becoming healthier through exercise, nutrition and mindset.

Wilkes really liked the holistic approach Delorey takes to weight loss especially the focus on changing a person's mindset to believe permanent weight loss and a healthier lifestyle are achievable.

"I could diet until the cows come hone, but I couldn't keep it off," admits Wilkes. "Adrian gives you tips, thoughts and ideas that make sense and empower you to take control of your mental and physical well-being."

The program's group environment is also very positive with members encouraging each other as they go along. As a group they managed to lose over 640 lbs in three months.

"It was awesome. Everyone in the group was very supportive. I was in the morning class and the trainers were all excellent. Each day we did something different which changed things up and kept things interesting and fun. I would highly recommend it to anybody looking to literally change their lives."

As the winner of Biggest Loser XIII, Wilkes received a one year membership to 180° Fitness and she's already looking forward to taking the centre's Game Changer Program. Her goal is to lose another 50-70 lbs.

Delorey is already taking registrants for Biggest Loser XIV which will begin on Sept. 19. Anyone interested in taking the program should book a consultation at www.180fitness.checkappointments.com.
