Pair arrested after police respond to Queenswood Heights

observant Queenswood Heights resident is being credited
for thwarting a daring daytime break-and-enter on Thursday,
leading to the arrest of two men including an individual
wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
tipster observed one of the men kicking in a neighbour's
door on Duford Drive shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday
and immediately called 9-1-1.
the police arrived on the scene one of the men was walking
out of the house with stolen property in his arms and
his accomplice was sitting in a car in the driveway.
men attempted to flee on foot, but were apprehended and
placed under arrest.
investigators later identified the suspects they found
out that one of them was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant
for breaching his parole. Victor Buglar, 37, is a three
time federal offender who was granted parole after serving
33 months for breaking and entering, theft under $5,000,
and possession of property obtained by crime.
Ottawa Police issued a press release on Wednesday, asking
for the public's help in locating Buglar. Little did they
know, they would have him in custody 24 hours later thanks
to a random 9-1-1 call.

including seven counts of breaking and entering and three
counts of possessing property obtained by crime.
