Orléans Online

A 26-year-old Ottawa man faces multiple charges in connection with a number of break and enters that occurred in Orléans and Cumberland between July 22 and August 13.

Joshua Saunders of Ottawa, has been charged with eight counts each of break and enter, and possession of property obtained by crime, as well as one count of attempted break and enter.

According to police, the thief went from house to house randomly checking to see if any doors or windows had been left unlocked. In those situtations where easy access could be gained, the thief would quickly search for loose items such as jewellery, electronics, cash or alcohol that could easily be carried and made off with them.
