Local financial planner recognized for advocating on behalf

financial planner Janet Gray has made working on behalf
of retirees and seniors one of her life's passions.
2009, she established the Ottawa chapter of the Canadian
Association of Retired Persons, or CARP, which advocates
on behalf of Canada's aging population on a variety of
issues including pension reform, affordable and accessible
health care, and the prevention of elder abouse.
Gray's leadership, CARP Ottawa has actively and effectively
engaged with other stakeholder groups in helping to develop
a more age-friendly city. Last year their AGM and mini-Expo
attracted over 400 members.
2011, Gray joined the steering committee for Age Friendly
Ottawa, which links the City of Ottawa with the Council
on Aging Ottawa.

member of the month and she was given special recognition
by Ottawa-Orleans MPP Marie-France Lalonde on International

of Money Coaches Canada.
