Navan church appeals for safe return of stolen book
By Fred Sherwin
Orléans Online

Members of the St. Mary's Anglican Church community in Navan are praying for the safe return of a book that was the sole contents of a strong box stolen from the parish office last Thursday.

The book in question contains the birth and death records of parishioners dating back to the mid-1980s. It was kept in the safe to protect it from a possible fire.

Although St. Mary's pastor Rev. John Wilcox would love to get both the safe and the book back, he would be happy with just getting the book back. To that end, he's willing to make the safe's combination public. It's 49-82-2.

The black vinyl book is rectangular in shape and has a red ribbon page marker.

Anyone with any information as to the book's whereabouts should call the church office at 613-216-

(This story was made possible thanks to the generous support of our local business partners.)
