preparations being made for Gloucester HS 50th reunion

will mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of Gloucester
High School. The school opened its doors in September,
1963. Throughout the past 50 years, it is estimated that
over 75 000 students have walked the halls of this venerable
May 3 and 4, thousands of former staff and students will
gather for the 50th anniversar reunion. The weekend will
kick off on Friday with reception for former staff members
in the school library from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Later,
the lobby, cafeteria, and gym will be the venue for an
alumni reception. Food will be served, Decade Rooms will
be open, and refreshments will be available for all to
Wednesday, July 80all former Gator musicians and athletes
will once again gather on the fields and in the gymnasiums
to show flashes of their former brilliance. An open rehearsal/concert
will take place for alumni who still play and sing from
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
football, soccer, basketball, and volleyball games will
take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All interested participants
can register for these events on the reunion website.
And to cap off an incredible weekend, a banquet will be
held at the Hampton Inn and Conference Centre featuring
live music by Random Play. Cocktails will be served at
5:30 p.m. folllowed by dinner at 7:30.
