walking trails map now available online

enthusiasts in the east end will be happy to find out
that they now have online access to a detailed set of
maps showing Orléans' extensive network of walking
the official launch of OrleansTrails.ca won't be held
until May 27 residents can get a sneak peak by visiting
Facebook page has a drop down menu with maps for 14 different
areas including Cardinal Creek, Petrie Island, Avalon,
Blackburn Hamlet, Chapel Hill South, Queenswood Heights
and Convent Glen.
printable map has a colour-coded layout of the recreational
trails, bike friendly trails and sidewalks in the area.
Trails project has been several years in the making. It
was first launched by Team Ottawa-Orléans in 2007
using a Trillium Foundation grant. It was recently completed
by Enterprise Information Inc. in collaboration with the
newly-formed Greater Orléans Economic Develop.m.ent
are being encouraged to take pictures along the trails
and submit them to the Facebook app page.
