The Dreamweaver Children’s Series will launch another fun filled season at the Orleans Theatre on Centrum Boulevard on Sept. 24 at 3:30 p.m. with a performance by the Children’s Peace Theatre company.

The troupe will be presenting an interactive play about Morgan the Clown. It’s a story that speaks perfectly to the world and experiences of little children. During the performance the audience is encouraged to team together through fun, laughter and self reflection.

Tickets for the Children’s Peace Theatre and any of the other Dreaweaver Children’s Series performances are $8 each at the door or $7.50 in advance. A series pass for all three performances can also be purchased for just $20.

The second performance in the series will take place on Sunday, Feb. 20featuring storyteller and children’s musician Sam Driscoll who will be presenting “The Orphan Boy and the Circus King” about a boy who is raised by a circus of misfits. The story is full animated and shown on a big screen.

As the story unfolds, the animated characters talk to the audience and Sean, then with a little magic they come down out the screen as puppets.
The third instalment in the series brings the always popular Rag and Bone Puppet Theatre to the Orleans Theatre stage on April 15.

“Zoom at Sea” is about a little cat named Zoom who finds a dusty diary one day with the words “To Zoom from Uncle Roy” inscribed in it. On the last page there is a map and the message “The sea and how to get there”. Members of the audience are then carried along on Zoom’s journey.

Tickets for any of the Dreamweaver Children’s Series can be reserved in advance by calling 837-9673 or 833-2638. Tickets can also be purchased by cash or cheque prior to the show dates at the Place d’Orleans Guest Services desk.
